In the Upper Engadine there are various possibilities - in summer even in our beautiful mountain lakes.

Bellavita pool and spa in Pontresina

The Bellavita Pool in Pontresina is an Alpine-style water adventure. The modern indoor swimming pool and spacious wellness area cater to sports activities as well as leisure and relaxation.

Serious swimmers can train in the reserved lanes; others can relax, play, or take part in the aqua gym classes – all in the 25-metre swimming pool that is kept at a pleasant 28°C. Or take the plunge from the one-metre springboard into the deeper pool.

Guests staying at the Sporthotel benefit from a reduced admission fee (CHF 9.50 instead of CHF 11.00).

Engadine lakes

Swimming outside is possible in summer in the Engadine. Here are two mountain lakes that are great for swimming in.

Lej Marsch

The Lej Marsch is one of the Engadine’s most renowned lakes. Bathers particularly enjoy its wind-sheltered location and the small beach on the northern bank. A jetty, barbecue stations, toilets and showers complete the picture. In warm weather, the lake warms up to 20-21°C.

Lake Staz- The highest beach in the world

Situated in a clearing in the forest of Staz between Pontresina and St. Moritz, the idyllic Lej da Staz is the perfect venue for an Alpine swim. One of the oldest Alpine lakes, the Lej da Staz is the highest beach in the world – accessible by bike or on foot in 20 to 45 minutes. A children's playground and barbecue facilities are available. Special tip: combine your morning jog with a swim.
