We have put together the following safety precautions for you to enjoy your stay while maintaining actual safety guidelines of the Swiss Federal Council. For your safety, our personnel and other persons you interact with while you are at Sporthotel Pontresina. Always with the focus on ensuring that the usual pleasant, sporty atmosphere continues to prevail.

You may decide for the following additional precautions voluntarily:

Breakfast Buffet

Decline to use the breakfast buffet to maintain additional social distancing. Please contact the reception on arrival or upon reservation for a reduction of CHF 10.00 per person and day.  This price reduction is available when the hotel is booked directly at the regular room price.

Room Cleaning

Decline to have your room cleaned during your stay. Please contact the reception and your room will not be visited by our housekeeping team.

Alp Languard

 

  • Hand disinfection for guests in the entrance area of the hut
  • We welcome our guests at the terrace entrance
  • Maximum 4 persons per table
  • 2 meter distance from table to table or individual tables are protected by partitions
  • Tablecloth: The table and salt & pepper mill set are professionally cleaned after each use. The cleaning cloths are changed at least twice a day.
  • This summer we will do without tablecloths.
  • Please keep to the distance floor markings and observe the floor markings for person flows.
  • There will be no live music this summer
  • This summer we offer a take away.
  • Disinfecting soap by the lavabos in the toilet.
  • We prefer contactless payment. Credit cards
  • The toilets are not accessible for passers-by via the terrace. Please follow the signs how to reach the toilets.

  • If we have a higher occupancy than the maximum occupancy, we offer seating:
    At breakfast: 7-8 / 8-9 / 9-10am
    At dinner: 18 - 19:45 / 20:00 - closing time
  • Guests can sign in on the board at the reception
  • Maximum 4 persons per table
  • 2 meter distance from table to table or individual tables are protected by partitions
  • Tablecloth: Tablecloth, place settings, salt & pepper mills and trays are replaced and professionally cleaned after each use. The menu in paper form is disposed of. The cleaning cloths are replaced at least twice a day.
  • Work surfaces, telephone and touch screen are professionally cleaned after the end of the service.
  • Breakfast buffet: The buffet has been rebuilt and reworked. It is mostly under drip protection and/or portioned and closed.
  • Textile gloves are available at your table. These are to be used at the buffet. After use they are washed
  • Floor and distance markings for the flow of people are provided
  • At the buffet 10 people can serve themselves at the same time
  • Salad buffet in the evening is handled in the same way as breakfast buffet
  • Premises will be aired extensively twice a day.

 

Arrival

 

  • Arrival and departure with the hotel bus for a maximum of 2 guests or a family without protective mask possible. If there are more people, a protective mask must be used. This also applies to the driver
  • Porter opens and closes the hotel bus for the guests
  • In our lobby you can use hand disinfection or you can clean your hands thoroughly in the toilet.
  • At the reception there are drip gates

Employees

 

  • All employees have been trained and instructed.
  • Personal and hand hygiene are essential.
  • All departments have easy access to disinfectant hand soap and disinfectants
  • If individual employees wish to work with mouthguards, they are free to do so and we provide them
  • Employees keep their distance to guests and other employees. The 2 metre distance rule applies. If this rule cannot be observed, employees should use face masks
  • Floor: Public door handles, lift buttons and stair railings are cleaned 1x daily
  • Kitchen and floor: Work with disposable gloves
  • Kitchen: Face masks are used.
  • We do not allow sick employees to work and send home those affected immediately.
  • The catering of the employees is done in shifts under observance of the 2-meter distance rule

 

Face masks

 

Since disposable face masks pollute our environment, we will use textile masks instead. These will be produced in Pontresina. We wash them daily at 60°C with a separate washing machine that does not come into contact with the guest's laundry.

 

Fitness room

 

  • Analogous to the wellness facility we count on your sense of responsibility 
  • Maximum occupancy (1 person per unit. 8 persons maximum)
  • After using the device, please disinfect/clean it 

 

Garden terrace

  • Maximum 4 persons per table.
  • From table to table 2 meters apart or individual tables are protected by partitions.
  • The wine offer is visible by means of QR code. 
  • Table set: Tablecloth, place setting, salt & pepper mills and trays are replaced and professionally cleaned after each use. Placemats are used once. The cleaning cloths are replaced at least twice a day.
  • Work surfaces, telephone and touch screen are professionally cleaned after work.
  • We prefer contactless payment. Credit cards.

 

 

Lifts

 

  • Guest lifts: Reception: UG - 4th floor 1 person, 1 couple or 1 family
  • Reception / ski cellar / connecting corridor: 1 person, 1 couple or 1 family
  • Underground car park: 1 person, 1 couple or 1 family
  • Staff and goods lift: 2 persons
  • Are professionally cleaned at least 1 x per day. 

 

Public toilets

 

  • Disinfectant or disinfection soap is available in all toilets (SportBar, SportStübli).
  • Are cleaned at least twice a day.
  • Cleaning is recorded.
  • Open litter bins are emptied at least twice a day.

 

Reception

  • Reception cleans iPad and Infoscreen twice a day with cleaning spirit. If you feel the need to clean them before use, cleaning lotion and Kleenex are available.

  • The rooms are cleaned daily by the same staff, except for the Friday changeover.
  • A physical information folder does not exist this summer. It can be downloaded and viewed via the Tweebie app.

  • Per seminar participant 4m2 room sizes apply.

  • This summer we will not have our buffet. Alternatively we have dishes on the menu, which you can put together according to your taste
  • We serve you bread, butter and spreads.

  • 2 p.m. and at the end of the day's work, blast airing
  • Our food, wine and beverage offer is presented on tablets.

Wellness

    Relaxation room maximum 6 persons
  • As the use of the wellness facilities is limited, we thank you for limiting the time of your sauna sessions and rest periods in the relaxation room out of consideration for other guests.
